On our last day in Los Angeles, Candice and Drew took us for a hike through the Old Zoo at Griffith Park to tire us out before our 20 hour travel journey to Southeast Asia.

When the zoo closed in 1966, the city left its remains and eventually turned the site into a hiking trail and picnic area. You might recognize the space as the location for the final zoo scenes in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.Eerily, you can still get a waft of monkey scent from inside the ruins of animal enclosures and cages.

After doing some monkeying around ourselves, we continued up the trail to take in the expansive views of Glendale stretched beneath us and shared some special moments with the friends we had to say goodbye to a few hours later.
