Remember Your Roots
One of the best presents I received this Christmas was an antique map printed backpack from my little sister Hanna. She looked on excitedly as I opened it, waiting to see my reaction of the thoughtful gift she knowingly deemed as *so me.* While I can't wait to rock the backpack as a carry-on and every day bag in Asia, it's the words that I found in a letter inside that I'll truly be carrying with me on this adventure.
You are an explorer. Your mission is to document and observe the world as you've never seen it before. Travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move. Try new things, meet new people, and look beyond what's right in front of you. Find life experiences and swallow them whole. Go down some dark alleys. Try everything. Exhaust yourself in the glorious pursuit of life. Those are the keys to understanding this amazing world we live in. But always remember your roots. The lock and key on this map backpack are here to remind you of home and to help you find your way back even when you are miles away. ~ Hanna Boleman
