Children of Sapa
Being in Asia, you notice the children right away. Everything about them is so colorful - from their dirty, mismatched clothing to their unique, and often cheeky, personalities. It's uncommon to pass by them quietly, as you're usually bombarded with a barrage of "hellos" and giggles and big smiles.
It's heartbreaking to see such young children so hard at work ~ being forced into tourism for a few measly dollars a day, rather than attending school and getting the education they need to break the cycle of poverty.
